I'm Back!

Well, it’s been ages since I have blogged, can’t contribute to any specific reason, may be the same old indolence and some new indulgence, old meanderings and new musings but it was never due to lack of time. Have seriously thought whether I am into a phase known as “creative block”, but that’s the not the case. Mind which is human beings’ greatest asset can be the dangerous weapon too. Let not make the mind wander, its dirty game shall not leave any passage to escape.

What have I been doing? Well, over the last few months, travelled to new places, made new friends, dared to do things which I wanted to do or shied away. In short, heart had taken over the reins of my life, the sole dictator, curbing, controlling, ruling and raveling. It was a crazy, helluva ride, with life taking numerous turns, offering much more adventure, much more to venture, much more flavor, much more to savor before the grey strands, the wrinkles take over!

I’m back to this world of virtuality
With a hope to get closer to my reality!

Truth of Life

Yearning for a gentle touch, a tight embrace, some generous phrases
A mundane, meaningless, muddied life, I lived through
But only when death embraced me, I earned plenty praises
Corpse, as I lay, immune to people and words that I never knew!

Happiness

Treaded along the vast, dreary desert
Trekked on the steep, craggy mountain
Sailed through the illimitable, calm ocean
Breathed the fresh, pure air
But you seemed to be nowhere!

Then I closed my eyes
As I let my mind open
I saw those images rush past
The beauty seems to be everywhere
But you seemed to be nowhere!

Enchanted and entralled by my life
Success being declared as my synonym
They question me on the path to reach you
But you are still elusive and evading away
Am in pursuit of you, one who is close, yet far away!

Roots

As he moves to a new place, new locale
He adopts, adapts, loudly lauds and gloats
About his own place, its people, he laments and loathes
Unaware that inherent traits will forever prevail

He cleverly camouflages his roots, his origin
But never does he become a part of the new herd
For them, he is an intruder, a wander bird,
An immigrant, svelte yet committed to sin

Feeling

So complicated, a definition
So complex, an emotion
So colorful, its inception
So corrosive, a deception
An experience transiting from fonder to wonder to ponder!

Dazzle, Droop & Die

Am I the flower?
The flower that bloomed, but never devoured
Am I the fruit?
The fruit that was plucked, but never savored

Now that I have wilted, I shall fall down
Now that I have rotten, I shall be thrown
The fragrance spread, shall never be talked about
The essence extracted, shall never be hashed out


Soon, I shall amalgamate with earth
With ripened skin and withered petals, I wait for my next birth!

Essence of a Woman

Mother, daughter, sister, wife…the multiple attires that she adorn
With patience and perseverance, the virtues with which she is born
Her elegance and poise captures any man’s attention
That’s the essence of a woman, God’s masterful creation!
